Alexis is a really nice guy and I experienced a good welcome. Communication is rapid and effective. The bed is comfortable. The position is perfect near everything in Buenos Aires. The entire place is beautiful for my taste.

The bathroom lacks products for hygiene.

The location near the Congress, in Buenos Aires centre is great! The building itself is beautiful! The manager is very nice and kind to help!

Dust can be seen everywhere, but almost none on the surfaces that have to be clean: it's still ok...but some dedusting would be welcome.

The wonderful proprietor made my stay good.

The bedding was old and the bathroom was not very clean. But the proprietor made up for everything by his helpfulness with my baggage. He was very nice.

The newness of the bedding could have been better.

A difficult, dirty noisy stay. I only managed to stay for 3 out of my 4 nights.

The fact that this place existed and let me in was a major bonus as I had arrived. Not knowing that Taylor Swift was on in concert. The owner was very accommodating in terms of letting me in at short notice, and I do appreciate that. This is why I have given it a 2, not a 1, because really, that is where the positives end… having now met the owner, I can only assume that he was unaware that Taylor Swift was on, as it was pretty much the only cheap place in Buenos Aires that evening. I paid for four nights, I fled to Uruguay after three… The towel was of an extremely high quality. This was just what I needed to be correct with 31° heat with no air-conditioning!

Unfortunately, many things. Too many to name, but I’ll have a go: 1. It is extremely dirty. The bedding, the walls (full of mysterious stains) are really poor throughout the property. 2. I struggle to recall anywhere where I have slept as poorly as this because of the ridiculous noises at all times during the day and night. I don’t spend very much time in the room during the day, which is as well. Late into the evening, there was creaking, videos being played by either one of the other guests or the upstairs lodger (who was actually very nice to be fair, and folded my laundry for me, although more on that later). The room is directly under his, and the floorboards seem to be made of the creakiest possible wood that the owner could have found. It is really beyond description how difficult it is to sleep here. One morning at 5 am, an alarm began somewhere in the house. It continued to put itself onto snooze every five minutes for over two hours. I could not locate it. There was also street noise. 3. I’ve stayed in places where the owner lives around the property, near the property, next door etc, but never have. I been woken up by the owner at 9 am, who walked into my room without my permission , gave me a thumbs up and then immediately left again. This is just not okay in any world. He speaks no English, which is not necessarily a problem, but you surely have to have some kind of understanding about customer satisfaction, and the way in which you conduct yourself as an owner and have some common sense as to how to correctly communicate with people. I also echo the differing price comments from other reviews as I paid in cash, and I’m not entirely sure about his conversion rate… 4. The bathroom is appalling, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly in all areas, there are other guests hanging around, laundry charges are applied without being stated, the price is incorrect, bed sheets were dirty. More stuff but not enough characters to fit in in. I will not be returning…

This is a family apartment in an old building, we got a small room with 2 comfy beds and a shared bathroom that looks old and not inviting but was fairly clean, just like the rest of the place. 3 blocks away from the subway and quiet at night.

The place is NOT what you see on pictures, but it's still acceptable. There's supposed to be a kitchen and a terrace but they didn't show it to us when we arrived. Wifi comes and goes. Local friends recommended us not to walk around at night cause it's supposed to be dangerous. They forgot to write the apartment number, so we had to go around looking for wifi and call to be able to check in (the apartment is 2C btw and at the plaza nearby there's wifi). There's also not sign on the door of the building or apartment. NO ENGLISH but my wife speaks Spanish so no prob for us. We had a misunderstanding cause they demanded more money than what booking says. Our booking said 14.50 USD per night(so so) but he showed us his account where it was also written "2.50 USD commission" and said we have to pay it. Now, we have been using Booking for so long and never had this situation, I really think it's the commission he has to pay, not the client, but we already contacted Booking about it. Without this detail the price is more than fair, just not transparent. Now reading comments we realized it's a common trick they use. To the smallest critic (like it's not clear which one is the apartment, or you are charging more than you said) the owner was reacting defensive. There was a weird situation when we were going out for dinner, he asked if we were leaving for good ¿¿¿??? Why would we do that??? And that was before the problem with the payment. Without the weird vibe of the owner and the scam of the price we would have been a better experience.

Of course this is not the Ritz but: - Pablo is a very nice man! - The flat is very old but it is swiped everyday. The rroom was small and the bed as well, but OK. No noise nor other nuisances (this was winter and I was alone) - it is always convenient.

The ventilator of the shower (el ventilador della duccia) muy muy noisy!!
